DynaScan Brings Cylindrical LED Digital Signage to Lord & Taylor
Irvine, CA (July 22,.2005) – Lord & Taylor NY store kicks off its “Advance Notice” pre-fall promotion in a high-tech manner using 360° LED screens throughout the store and in their window displays along the Fifth Avenue.
8 state-of-the-art DynaScan cylindrical displays, each standing 7.33 feet tall, are used to showcase fashion shoots and images from Lord & Taylor’s pre-fall fashion catalogue. Close-up shots of vintage accessories, embellished boots and latest designer’s wear are vividly represented on the video screens. The new video technology has successfully attracted visitors and window shoppers who pass-by the storefront at the Fifth Avenue, dazzling them with colorful moving imagery of L&T’s latest fashions and unique cylindrical shape.
Manoel Renha, divisional vice president of visual merchandising, fashion and special events, commented, “Fashion is always the most important, but visual merchandising is more than showing fashion. It’s about creating an experience for the customer. That’s what we tried to achieve.”
“Last year, when we presented ‘Advance Notice,’ we had 54 flat screens in our windows. It was so well received that we wanted to raise the bar,” said Lavelle Olexa, senior vice president of fashion merchandising.
“How do you know when a window display works? That’s always subjective, but when you start seeing people stop and take a look, you get a pretty good idea, particularly with all the men who look at this technology,” added Olexa.
